Стаття присвячена проблематиці встановлення психодіагностичних можливостей україномовної версії відомого психодіагностичного інструменту дослідження структури  особистості - шістнадцятифакторного опитувальника Р. Кеттелла (16-PF). Автори статті репрезентують результати експериментального дослідження щодо встановлення психодіагностичного потенціалу адаптованого опитувальника. Розкрито методологію і структуру проведеного дослідження, розраховано основні психометричні характеристики адаптованого опитувальника. Показано, що використання українськомовного опитувальника Кеттелла дозволяє визначити особистісну типологію працівників, адаптований опитувальник можливо ефективно використовувати з метою психологічного забезпечення діяльності поліцейських, зокрема, при професійному доборі персоналу
