В статті висвітлено сутність психологічної готовності військовослужбовців до ведення бойових дій та загальні підходи до її формування в процесі психологічної підготовки особового складу Збройних Силах України та інших силах оборони. Підкреслюється необхідність гострої потреби у підготовці висококваліфікованих фахівцях, які, маючи психологічну освіту, здатні ефективно організовувати та проводити заходи психологічної підготовки, психологічного супроводу бойових дій, надавати екстрену психологічну допомогу військовослужбовцям. У структурі психологічної готовності військовослужбовців до професійної діяльності виділені наступні компоненти: мотиваційні, рівень розвитку мислення, комунікативні та організаторські здібності. Запропоновано деякі пріоритетні напрямки формування психологічної готовності військовослужбовців до ведення бойових дій, необхідність розробки Курсу спеціальної психологічної підготовки, компетентностей військовослужбовців до ведення бойових дій та шляхи її формування у ВВНЗ
