The article reveals the features of the development of spirituality as a determinant of professional activity and activity in extreme conditions. It highlights the moral and value regulators of individual activity in extreme conditions and analyzes their relationship with the factors of cadets’ professional development. The conceptualization of the variable "spiritual values" makes it possible to substantiate the necessary diagnostic procedure and to obtain data on the internal reserves of the cadets’ psyche
