Generative AI Policy
The Editorial Board recognises the usefulness of generative AI as a supportive tool; however, its use in the preparation of manuscripts must remain transparent and ethical.
Authors may employ generative AI models only as an assistive instrument. The use of AI must not:
- replace the author’s original scholarly contribution;
- interpret research results or formulate conclusions;
- create scientific text on behalf of the author (in whole or in part) when it is presented as the author’s own work.
Permitted uses of AI include:
- language editing and stylistic improvement;
- technical assistance (structuring material, summarising drafts, generating bibliographies);
- grammar checks and ensuring textual consistency.
All instances of AI use must be clearly disclosed in the manuscript (in the “Acknowledgements” section or “Materials and Methods”).
Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity and reliability of the submitted work, including any content produced with the help of AI. Authors must ensure that:
- AI does not generate fabricated data, references or claims;
- all statements are verified and supported by genuine sources;
- AI use does not infringe third-party copyright.
The Editorial Board may use AI for technical checks (similarity screening, preliminary language editing, manuscript classification). Peer review and editorial decisions are carried out exclusively by humans.
The journal does not accept manuscripts that are wholly or substantially generated by AI, nor those in which AI is listed as a co-author.
Manuscripts that conceal the use of generative AI or contain unethical content may be rejected at any stage of consideration.
