The article presents the results of research on the psychological content of the concepts “crisis,” “critical situation,” and “crisis situation.” Possible patterns of behavior of a subject in crisis situations are examined: constructive and destructive. From the perspective of the activity-based approach, it is demonstrated that a crisis situation serves as a source of personality development, with the driving force of this development being the personal activity of the self-development subject, which determines the model of human behavior in crisis situations
