The article addresses the task of forming the sanogenic potential of personality within parent–child relationships, drawing on modern developments in attachment theory. Consideration is given to the cognitive-emotional connection in relation to adaptive socio-ecological ways of satisfying the basic needs of psychohomeostatic orientation and content through the development of cognitive processes of mentalization, symbolization, and reflection, which serve to integrate the positive and negative experiences of the individual
