The article discusses the problem of defining and substantiating the content of motivational readiness for professional activity of future psychologists. It is noted that motivational readiness is a necessary condition for the successful professional self-realization of a young specialist - a psychologist. To improve the level of training of modern specialists for successful professional activity and competitiveness in the labor market, the key task is to develop professional motivation and personal interest in the chosen specialty. A theoretical analysis of the views of scientists on this issue has been carried out. It has been determined that motivational readiness is one of the conditions for the successful performance of future professional activities by psychologists
