The article reveals the peculiarities of understanding the concept of “type of response to disease” and the main factors that influence the formation of pathological behavior in patients with cardiac ischemia, which exacerbates the course of the disease. It is noted that such patients, under the guise of hyperactivity and aggression, usually hide “deadly” fatigue and emotional exhaustion under the influence of unresolved emotional problems, and the aggression of the superego, which they have directed against others all their lives, is now directed against themselves. The behavior and attitude of such a patient towards their own illness not only affect the course of the disease itself, the process of its treatment, and relationships with others, but also determine whether this process will be short or whether it will be exacerbated by mental disorders
