The article provides a theoretical and methodological analysis of approaches to defining the phenomenon of well-being. It presents classical (e.g., eudemonistic and hedonistic) and modern (multifactorial) models of well-being, as well as foreign and domestic theories that describe concepts related to well-being, such as happiness, life satisfaction, and quality of life.  The differences between the concepts of subjective well-being and psychological well-being are highlighted
