The article examines the problem of forming the psychological stability of the personnel of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the conditions of hostilities. The following are determined: the relevance of the problem under investigation, in the light of the requirements of the state's normative legal acts on security and defense policy, the realities of the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine; conditions inherent in modern combat. The concept of psychological stability of the individual in extreme conditions is analyzed. Views on the formation of psychological stability of military personnel in the conditions and situations of conducting armed struggle are considered
