The purpose of the article is to carry out a theoretical analysis and conduct an empirical study on the problem of self-esteem of teenagers. The following methods were used to solve the set goal: analysis of scientific psychological literature, comparison, generalization, systematization of the received information and its interpretation, observations and 3 psychodiagnostic methods. The study sample consisted of 52 students in grades 5-7
