The article examines the problem of urgent addiction ‒ of one of the forms of dependent behavior in military personnel, which in conditions of high loads can lead to various psychological consequences and, as a result, to a decrease in the effectiveness of military professional activity. In the course of the theoretical analysis, the main factors leading to the development of urgent dependence were determined, the characteristic features of this addiction and its consequences for military personnel were revealed
