The purpose of the article is to identify the characteristics of the psychological adaptation process of military personnel in combat conditions. The article examines the concept of ‘psychological adaptation’, analyses the conditions and characteristics of adaptation of military personnel, identifies the factors that influence the success of the psychological adaptation process, and defines the essence and role of psychological training of military personnel for adaptation in combat conditions
