The article highlights the essential aspects of the theoretical, methodological and methodological foundations of the problem of providing psychological assistance and support to victims in crisis situations caused by war. It reveals the purposeful content of the problem of psychological self-help as a factor of stress resistance and internal psychological potential to resist psychological trauma in wartime conditions
