A description of the transformation of the identity structure of persons who were forced to change their place of residence as a result of the occupation of part of Ukraine's territory is proposed. A statistical comparison is provided of the results of the changes in the components of identity among individuals who were forced to change their place of residence due to hostilities in the south-east of the country and those respondents who remained permanently in the free territory of Ukraine. As a result of empirical research, statistically proven changes are characteristic of the following indicators: reliable differences in self-assessment indicators, changes in the perception of the temporal aspect; the state of identity indicators in the areas of work/service, material situation, health, environment; changes in the value matrix. Unilateral transformation-reduced structural indicators of identity among internally displaced persons have been identified, related to: work, financial situation, views on the future; the dominance of the values of security and independence; the prevalence of the ‘moratorium’ status, which actualises the state of identity crisis; the actualisation of pseudo-identity, which is characterised by a disruption of the mechanisms of identification towards isolation in the direction of hypertrophy. It has been established that forced displacement due to hostilities in the east of the country has a significant impact not only on physical health but also on the structural indicators of respondents' identity.
