The article, based on the analysis of open sources, established that the rapid development of media perceptual communication and attempts to use it in the military-political sphere leads to the possibility of new threats to human information and psychological security. On the basis of an expert survey, the component structure of psychological self-defense was determined as a program for preventing or significantly reducing (reducing) the actual negative informational and psychological impact, and the psychodiagnostic toolkit for studying its features was substantiated
