A theoretical analysis of the problem of emotional burnout of psychologists in the defense and security sector of Ukraine is carried out. It is substantiated that the activities of extreme psychologists are related to obtaining negative emotionogenic information, analyzing past traumatic events of clients, etc., which directly or indirectly affects the personality and behavior of psychologists and can cause their emotional burnout. The results of an empirical study of signs of professional burnout among psychologists of law enforcement agencies and military formations are presented. It was found that more than half of the studied extreme psychologists have various signs of emotional professional burnout.
