The article provides an overview of the essential characteristics and structure of psychological well-being as a basic component of an individual's mental health. Mental health and psychological well-being are reasonably correlated as a whole and a part. Empirically, a number of significant correlates of mental health in the structure of psychological well-being of military personnel and medical workers have been identified
