The article is devoted to the study of socio-psychological factors of suicidal behavior of military personnel in combat conditions in connection with the increase in the number of suicides and sudden deaths due to hostilities. The long-term stay of servicemen in a state of tension in hostilities leads to the emergence of post-traumatic stress disorders, causes permanent changes in the personality structure, acquired characterological features, such as uncompromisingness, conflict, aggressiveness, already a few months after their return lead to the appearance of maladaptive destructive reactions
