The article reveals significant differences in the image of the world in the present and in the future. The image of «The world after 5 years» is positive, characterized as meaningful, active, fair and reliable. The connection between the characteristics of the image of the world and basic beliefs, primarily with the perception of the justice of the world, has been established. The positive role of student youth participation in volunteer activities for the formation of a positive image of the world has been proven
