Based on the results of the analysis of the respondents' ideas, the article formulates indicators for measuring the effectiveness of the formation of ecological thinking through eco-communities and its monitoring in the conditions of professional training. The results of the study make it possible to assert that the formation of ecological communities provides an opportunity to fill the lack of knowledge in the field of environmental protection and to prepare applicants for the choice of the least hostile ways to solve their own problems and satisfy their own needs
