The article is devoted to the problems of analyzing world experience and psychological features of the effective use of special polygraph methods of comparison questions of the – group of polygraph techniques, which contain specific comparison questions (or control questions) and are widely used in forensic practice. The article traces the theoretical approaches that underlie the development and application of the considered group of polygraph methods, reveals the psychological aspect of the development and introduction of polygraph methods of comparison questions, their difference from screening ones, shows their positive aspects and some limitations. The effectiveness of the application of this group of methods is also characterized, the methodology and methodology of their use are highlighted; the possibilities of applying the main tests in our country are revealed, data on their reliability and validity are presented, as well as psychological requirements for the formulation of the main types of polygraph questions used in them. The prospects of using the specified polygraph methods in the conditions of war, directions of further application in the fields of security, special (operational), law enforcement activities and in work with personnel are also shown
