The article reveals the problem of diagnosing mental states in crisis using L.Sondi's method. In the course of the study, we discovered important sign-digital keys for identifying the mental states of a person with mental trauma. The results of the study cover a sample of 70 people who had various mental crisis conditions at the time of testing. Simultaneously with the testing, an interview was conducted with the recording of the dynamics of experiences, thoughts, emotions and feelings. Through the analysis, the idea of using sign-digital keys to identify crisis mental states that can be used for the needs of military psychologists was substantiated. The prospect of using L.Sondi's method lies in the possibility of further invention of combinations of identification keys for psychodiagnosis of mental crisis states and the possibility of scaling psychodiagnosis
