The article analyzes the peculiarities of forced migration as an abnormal psychosocial situation, highlights the personal characteristics that mediate the determination of the status of the subjects as internally displaced persons, and describes their resources for overcoming stress. It is noted that the study of the psychological consequences of experiencing and resources for overcoming stress in a situation of forced migration is a promising direction of scientific research, which will allow obtaining a more complete factual description of the formation and development of post-traumatic personality disorders
