Informational and psychological safety is an indispensable attribute of the well-being of a serviceman's personality. Providing the natural and social needs of the individual, it contributes to the formation of confidence in them in the future. The authors of the article investigated the problem of informational and psychological security of the individual and its psychological protection in modern conditions. The theoretical foundations of psychological mechanisms of information influence are given. A structural and functional model of informational and psychological security of the individual is proposed. Applied aspects of destructive informational influences on military personnel during military operations are considered
