The article presents the main directions of work on psychological support of the professional well-being of academic workers of higher education institutions, determined based on the results of empirical verification of the motivational and value model, according to which professional well-being is considered as an integrated state that is formed in connection with the extent to which the needs of the individual are realized in professional activity, taking into account individual values and meanings
