У статті проаналізовані напрацювання науковців, що розглядали ідентичність як психологічний та соціальний феномен. Викладені структурні складові особистості жінок, засуджених до позбавлення волі. Описані адаптаційні можливості засуджених жінок та їх взаємозв’язок із структурними складовими особистості. Розглянуто поняття ідентичності як складного інтегрального соціально-психологічного утворення та як категорії адаптаційних ресурсів особистості
