У статті розкрито особливості розвитку комунікативних здібностей професійних психологів. Зокрема, зазначається, що комунікативні здібності психолога являють собою складне психологічне утворення, що має загальні особливості, які зумовлюють успіх у будь-якому виді його діяльності, будь-то викладання чи психологічна допомога особистості, а також специфічними особливостями, що призводять до досягнення успіху при вирішенні різних професійних завдань у межах його взаємодії з іншими людьми при передачі їм інформації, здійсненні на них управлінського та іншого впливу тощо
