The article is devoted to the problems of organizing classes on the development of speaking in the conditions of distance learning of a foreign language. An algorithm for organizing the development of oral communicative competence among listeners has been developed. An analysis of each stage of speech training was carried out from the standpoint of gradual mastery of skills and formation of skills. The essential features of learning to speak in the conditions of distance learning are indicated, in particular, the importance of choosing an educational platform that will allow maintaining the atmosphere of interpersonal contact, intensifying the process of oral communication and maximizing the speaking time of each individual student
