The article analyzes the views of domestic and foreign scholars on the problem of creativity, its structure, and distinctive features. The importance of primary school age for the development of creativity is emphasized. Psychological and pedagogical approaches to fostering creativity in primary school students are outlined. Recommendations for teachers on the effective development of students’ creativity are provided
