The article reveals the potential of using the case method in the formation of professional competencies of a military psychologist. Examples of mini-cases used in teaching the course “Individual Counseling of Military Personnel and Their Families” are provided to develop special and military-specific competencies related to the ability of future specialists to carry out practical activities (training, psychotherapeutic, counseling, psychodiagnostic, and others, depending on the specialization) and provide psychological assistance
