In the article «Analysis of the works of Western military theorists on the preparation and conduct of assault operations in the city by small units of the ground forces», a review of classical and modern military-theoretical sources on the problems of tactics of assault and defense operations in the conditions of the city was carried out; the dynamics of adaptation of the theory of tactics of military operations in the city is demonstrated in view of the experience of the Second World War and the period of the second half of the 20th – of the beginning of the 21st centuries
