The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of the problem of the place and role of creativity in the structure of professional training of the future specialist. The role of creativity in the process of professional development is determined. Attention is focused on the description of the creative potential and creative abilities of the individual as a prerequisite for preparation for professional activity. It is argued that creativity is the level of a person's readiness for self-development. The main goal of the article is theoretical substantiation and empirical consideration of the psychological features of the creative potential of the future specialist.
