Gender equality in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women; it is the equal responsibility of representatives of both sexes for the protection of our state, equal access to resources and information and, as a result, equal responsibilities and equal contribution to increasing Ukraine's defense capabilities. The experience of the first months of the active phase of hostilities in 2022 demonstrated that the path to victory requires the combined efforts of all sections of the population, therefore it is very important to involve representatives of all sexes, religious denominations, and ethnic groups in the defense of the state, to consolidate the entire Ukrainian society for the effective support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and to increase the state's defense capability. However, despite the clear successes and positive achievements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of 2022, during the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, unfortunately, numerous manifestations of gender-based discrimination took place in the troops, which this article is aimed at minimizing and overcoming
