The article is devoted to the problem of the impact of deprivation on the psyche and personality of modern man. It has been established that one of the variants of such development is deprived development caused by the state of ‘psychological deprivation’. Psychological deprivation manifests itself in immaturity or distortion of personal development and psychophysiological activity of the organism. It is concluded that deprivation depends on external and personal factors, which, in turn, are objective or subjective in nature
