The article analyzes the results of a formative experiment aimed at developing the resources of the intellectual component of the personal potential of students at the initial stage of their educational adaptation. It is noted that social and psychological training with elements of art and Gestalt therapy, reflexive techniques, as well as logical and neurogymnastic exercises contributes to the optimization of this potential at the initial stage of students' educational activities
