The article defines the technology for forming the reflective competence of future officers and its focus on the prevention of deviant behaviour. It reveals one of the components of professional competence: the reflective competence of future officers. The technology for forming reflective competence is shown schematically. Measures for the technology of forming reflective competence in the courses of a higher military educational institution aimed at preventing deviant behaviour of future officers are defined, and the result of the technology is determined by the level of formed reflective competence and the absence of deviant behaviour in graduates
