The value-motivational component of professional competence of specialists is substantiated, the place and content of which in its structure is understood, interpreted and substantiated by many scientists ambiguously, and often – incorrectly, oppositely and controversially. It has been established that professional values play a decisive role first in the formation of the professional competence of future specialists in the process of acquiring professional education, and then in its actualisation in the process of professional activity. They directly influence the formation and saturation of the motivational sphere of future specialists
