The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of scientific publications and applied research devoted to the issue of moral readiness of a serviceman to perform assigned tasks. The criteria for assessing moral readiness were considered and the author's methodology for assessing the level of moral readiness of servicemen intended for diagnosing the personnel of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, both at the individual level and at the level of a department, platoon, company, battalion and their equals, was proposed
