The article reveals the techniques of the cognitive-behavioral approach in the psychotherapy of personality disorders. The peculiarities of psychotherapy of personal disorders are indicated, the characteristics of personality disorders and difficulties in their treatment are considered. It was determined that in international practice, cognitive-behavioral therapy is used in the psychotherapy of personal disorders as a scientifically based approach, but most of the personality disorders are difficult to psychotherapy and require a long course of treatment with the addition of methods from other areas of psychotherapy
