Introduction. The complexity of the situations faced by military personnel underscores the importance of training in competent decision-making. Under high stress, fast and flexible decision-making is critical to successfully completing tasks and ensuring people's safety. Existing approaches to training are not always sufficient to prepare military personnel for rapid response to emergency situations, which requires a systematic strategy that combines theoretical and practical knowledge to improve cognitive abilities, resilience and flexibility. The purpose of this article is to offer a conceptual scheme based on best practices, which is based on theoretical and methodological achievements in the field of studying decision-making processes of military personnel in crisis situations. This concept is designed to provide military personnel with critical cognitive skills for effective crisis management, focusing on three key mechanisms: resilience, attention control, and stress management. By combining theoretical models and empirical research, this paper aims to provide a solid foundation for training programs that improve the ability to make decisions under pressure
