Today, the topic of manipulation of consciousness is actively discussed by representatives of the general public, becoming the subject of heated scientific discussions and sharp polemics. The study of the problem of manipulation of consciousness and its consideration from a scientific point of view is only a few decades old. This is explained by the indirect coverage of this topic in the contexts of other phenomena and processes related to it. Therefore, the issue of manipulation of consciousness by humanitarian disciplines, especially social psychology, remains open and not finally investigated
