The article highlights the relevance of the formation of psychological readiness of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform combat tasks in modern war conditions. The impact of combat stress on the psyche of military personnel is considered, the importance of moral, physical and professional training in ensuring psychological readiness is determined. The role of commanders in the formation of combat readiness of subordinates by organizing educational and training activities, maintaining motivation, unit cohesion and personal example is outlined. It is noted that psychological readiness includes such components as moral stability, emotional balance, stress resistance and self-control. The article focuses on the need to implement purposeful psychological training that brings learning conditions closer to real combat situations. The importance of leadership qualities of commanders for effective interaction with personnel, ensuring trust, motivation and maintaining high morale is also emphasized. The article aims to offer practical recommendations for commanders to strengthen the psychological readiness of personnel, which contributes to increasing the combat capability of military units
