Perfectionism and its parameters such as socially ascribed perfectionism and perfectionist cognitive style are closely related to symptoms of emotional maladjustment, both depressive and anxious, while self-addressed perfectionism shows positive connections with protector factors, which compensates for its destructive effects on emotional well-being. This indicates its relative adaptability. The data are correlated with the already obtained results of modern research. Subjectivity and self-efficacy have been identified as protective factors for emotional well-being. They are inversely related to indicators of depressive and anxiety symptoms and determine the adaptability of self-addressed perfectionism. Destructive perfectionism is associated with object position expressiveness in learning activities and reduced self-efficacy. In order to strengthen the protector factors, it is envisaged to use the methods of the reflexive-activity approach in the programs. The proposed approach emphasizes the support of the subject's position in educational activities, providing the applicant with an important resource for his emotional well-being and overcoming educational difficulties. The obtained data can be used by psychological services and teachers of higher education institutions for such an organization of the process of educational activity, which will contribute to both successful learning and psychological well-being of the applicants
