The article provides a comprehensive analysis of modern transformations of communications in the military education system, which are caused by both technological innovations and socio-political circumstances, in particular, Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. The specifics of hybrid and multimodal educational formats, the problems of digital literacy and the psychological challenges facing the participants of the educational process in conditions of increased emotional tension are considered separately. Based on an interdisciplinary approach, the article highlights the need to reform pedagogical strategies and increase the communicative competence of the subjects of the educational process as a key factor in the effectiveness of training and combat training
