The article analyzes domestic and foreign scientific ideas about gender, competence, gender competence of military leaders, and the specifics of its implementation in management activities. The importance of developing gender competence among military leaders is identified, which will contribute to improving the overall professional image of both the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the country as a whole
