The article is devoted to the identification of text attributes and patterns of their psychological influence, which can cause negative psychological effects in the reader in the conditions of a social situation of mastering a certain text. The potential of psycholinguistic manipulation of texts that carry the risks of indoctrination, active suggestion of certain ideological views in different ways, capable of undermining the local or general social stability of an individual through individual psychological effects, is considered. The approaches given in the article make it possible to determine the dominant semantics of the text and the polearity of its psychological influence
