The article presents a theoretical analysis of the process of personality identity formation in the context of creativity development, which includes the study of theoretical approaches to defining the essence of adolescent identity, in particular its personal form; the study of factors influencing the formation and development of modern adolescent identity, and the psychological characteristics of creative identity. Identity is considered as a mechanism for realizing and appropriating one's own “I,” understanding individual personality characteristics, and striving for self-realization through the desire to develop creative abilities and a tendency toward constructive crisis resolution. Among the determining factors in the process of identity formation, the following are highlighted: a clearly formed value-motivational sphere, a creative component, developed self-reflection, a defined range of creative interests, a formed adequate self-esteem, constructive relationships with the social environment, and successful assimilation of social roles. The scientific issues of researching creative identity in general and creative identity in adolescents in particular have been actualized
