The article is devoted to the issue of Ukrainian-language adaptation of the psychodiagnostic technique “California Psychological Questionnaire” (CPQ) within the framework of improving the system of psychological support for work with personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. In our country, Ukrainian-language versions of this questionnaire have not yet been developed, although its diagnostic potential is quite significant and can be used in law enforcement agencies. The authors of the article reveal in detail the theoretical foundations and internal structure of the experimental study, in which more than three hundred employees of the National Police of Ukraine from various departments (patrol and criminal police, district inspectors) took part. The article provides the Ukrainian-language text of the questionnaire (SRI-U) and the keys to it. The main scales of the SRI-U, of which there are twenty, are grouped into four categories: a) relationships with others - indicates the degree of balance and self-confidence; b) self-control - reveals adaptability, maturity, and social responsibility of the individual; c) motivation - determines the ability for self-realization; d) personal characteristics - reveals some characterological features of the employee.
