The article identifies that the choice of the economist profession is determined by the prominence of individual internal and external motives, both positively and negatively significant, as well as the ability to collect and analyze statistical data, acquire information, and master modern information technologies in the field of economics. Additionally, the choice of profession is influenced by the level of emotional resilience, emotional-volitional self-control, diplomacy, communicative competence, ergicity, social ergicity, and the capacity to cope with difficulties
